The movie « Who are you, Polly Maggoo ? » is the center of inspiration to Christophe Guillarmé for Fall-Winter 2014-15 collection. Story of a love affair involving a model looking like Twiggy directed by edgy and forward thinking photographer William Klein. Who was like Christophe without any fuss to create in a free way, far from establishment, like in late 60’s.
Coming of Op art and psychedelic movement helps Christophe on his research of embroideries and application of ribbons to find a graphic aesthetic.
Pop touches are used in colours among fuchsia pink, turquoise blue, ruby red or purple-blue to lighten numbers of black and gold styles. Duchess satin is all over the collection mostly used in hugely spectacular dresses as much as Tulle for ethereral maxi dresses. Few ethnic beadings are reminding psychedelic Goa.
